The Captain James Neal chapter welcomes its newest member, Josh DeBolt. Josh will receive his membership certificate and rosette at the March 16th BOM meeting.

On 12/25/2020, Michael D. Cox passed away. Mike was the Chaplain of the Captain James Neal Chapter and an active guardsman. Mike was a good friend, brother, father and compatriot. He will be missed. He was a great believer in God and always practiced what he preached. He was always happy and always saw the good in everyone. Where ever he went he was always talking about the good life and that he was ready to go when God called his name. Christmas Day was his time. What a great day to go and meet God.

On 12/19/2020, the Captain James Neal Chapter celebrated the Wreaths Across America at the Captain James Neal memorial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Veterans from all services were honored.

The Captain James Neal Chapter honored Patriot Charles Asbury Parsons, Sr. on November 11, 2020 at the Grove Baptist Cemetery. (formerly Parsons Cemetery). Patriot Parsons was the first buried in the family cemetery along with many in the Parsons family. Several family members were present for the event including Compatriots Dan and Phillip Thomas who recently joined the chapter.
Compatriot Parsons served in the Virginia Rangers Militia under the command of Captain John Harness.
It was a rainy day, but the rain subsided long enough for a musket salute.

He is a descendant of the Revolutionary War Patriot Hans George Mock and his National Number is 170157. Don is retired and lives in Grantsville.

• The membership application for Henry Robert Leon, Jr. was approved on 4/17/2018. He is a descendant of the Revolutionary War Patriot James Archer and his national number is 207252.

• The membership application for Scott Everette McClure, Jr. was approved on 4/17/2018. He is a descendant of the Revolutionary War Patriot Henry Hulse, Sr., and his national number is 207246.

• The membership application for Richard Douglas McClure, Jr. was approved on 4/17/2018. He is a descendant of the Revolutionary War Patriot Henry Hulse, Sr., and his national number is 207245.

Chapter Annual Awards dinner will be at Jimmy Colombo's restaurant. Dinner starts at 6pm.
The annual genealogy seminar is coming soon. Details will be available soon.
